Our 100% Zakat Policy
Every dollar of your Zakat reaches those who need it most. No deductions. No exceptions. Complete Shariah compliance.
What Does 100% Zakat Policy Mean?
When you give your Zakat to Qurbani Foundation, not a single penny is taken for administrative costs, salaries, or marketing. The full amount — 100% — is directed to verified, Shariah-eligible recipients across 50+ countries.
You Give Zakat
Your Zakat is received and placed into a dedicated, segregated Zakat fund — separate from all other donations.
We Verify Recipients
Our field teams assess eligibility based on Islamic criteria. Scholars review the process to ensure full Shariah compliance.
100% Reaches Them
Every dollar of your Zakat is distributed directly to eligible recipients. Admin costs are covered by separate Sadaqah funds.
Our Zakat Governance Principles
Six commitments that ensure your Zakat obligation is fulfilled with integrity and precision.
Complete Segregation of Funds
Zakat funds are held in a dedicated, segregated account — never mixed with general donations, Sadaqah, or operational budgets. This ensures full traceability.
Zero Admin Deduction
We do not deduct any administrative, marketing, or operational costs from your Zakat. All overhead is covered through separate Sadaqah and general funds.
Scholar-Guided Distribution
Every Zakat disbursement is reviewed against Shariah guidelines. Our team consults with qualified Islamic scholars to ensure compliance at every stage.
On-the-Ground Verification
Our field teams verify recipient eligibility before distribution. We assess income, assets, and family size to confirm they meet Zakat criteria per Islamic law.
Transparent Reporting
We publish annual Zakat reports showing exactly where funds were distributed — by category, country, and project. Donors receive receipts for every contribution.
Timely Distribution
We prioritize swift distribution of Zakat funds. Your Zakat does not sit idle — it reaches those in need as quickly as our field operations allow.
"Zakat expenditures are only for the poor and for the needy and for those employed to collect [Zakat] and for bringing hearts together [for Islam] and for freeing captives and for those in debt and for the cause of Allah and for the [stranded] traveler — an obligation [imposed] by Allah. And Allah is Knowing and Wise."
— Surah At-Tawbah (9:60)
The Eight Eligible Recipients of Zakat
As defined in Surah At-Tawbah (9:60), Allah has designated eight specific categories of people who are eligible to receive Zakat. We distribute across all applicable categories.
Al-Fuqara (The Poor)
Those who live below the poverty line and lack the basic necessities of life — food, shelter, and clothing.
Al-Masakin (The Needy)
Those who have some income but it is not enough to meet their basic needs. They often suffer in silence.
Al-Amilina Alayha (Zakat Administrators)
Those appointed to collect, manage, and distribute Zakat funds. At Qurbani Foundation, admin costs are covered separately.
Al-Mu'allafatu Qulubuhum (Reconciliation of Hearts)
New Muslims and those whose hearts are inclined towards Islam, who may need financial support during their transition.
Fir-Riqab (Freeing Captives)
Those in bondage or slavery. In the modern context, this extends to helping victims of human trafficking and forced labor.
Al-Gharimin (Those in Debt)
People who are burdened with debt they cannot repay, particularly those who incurred debt for basic needs or emergencies.
Fi Sabilillah (In the Cause of Allah)
Those striving in the path of Allah — including efforts for education, dawah, and humanitarian relief.
Ibnus-Sabil (The Wayfarer)
Travelers who are stranded or lack the resources to return home, including refugees and displaced persons.
