Orphan sponsorship is just $45/month — that's only $1.50 a day. Less than a cup of coffee to provide food, education, healthcare, and shelter for a child in need.
+ Who does Qurbani Foundation support through the Orphan Sponsorship Program?
We support orphans across 16 countries including Pakistan, Palestine (Gaza), Bangladesh, Bosnia, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Gambia, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Senegal, Somalia, Sudan, Tanzania, Türkiye, and Yemen. Our program covers children who have lost one or both parents, providing them with education, healthcare, food, and shelter.
+ How is an orphan selected for sponsorship?
Our field teams identify the most vulnerable children through community assessments. Priority is given to children who have lost their father or both parents and whose families cannot meet their basic needs. Each child is carefully evaluated to ensure they receive the support they need most.

Financial and Payment Inquiries

+ How much of my sponsorship money will reach the orphan?
100% of your sponsorship goes directly to child care — education, food, healthcare, and shelter. Administrative costs are covered separately through institutional grants and are never taken from your charitable contributions.
+ Does the orphan receive sponsorship money every month?
Your monthly gift is sent to our field offices on a quarterly basis for immediate distribution to your sponsored orphan. This ensures efficient fund transfers while maintaining consistent support for the child throughout the year.
+ How long will the sponsorship continue?
Sponsorship continues until the child reaches adulthood (18 years) or becomes self-sufficient. Many sponsors maintain relationships with their children even after they graduate from the program.
+ Will my sponsorship always cost the same amount?
We strive to keep sponsorship costs stable. In rare cases, costs may adjust due to inflation or changing needs in the field. If any change occurs, you will be notified well in advance and can adjust your commitment accordingly.
+ What happens if I wish to cancel my sponsorship?
We understand circumstances change. You can cancel anytime with no penalties. Your sponsored child will continue to receive care from our general fund while we find them a new sponsor.
+ Will I always be sponsoring the same child?
Yes, you will sponsor the same child for the duration of the program. In rare circumstances — such as a family relocating or a child aging out — we will notify you and match you with another child in need.

Connecting with Your Sponsored Orphan

+ What information will I receive about the orphan I sponsor?
Within 4-6 weeks of your first payment, you'll receive your child's biodata report including their name, age, city, and background story. For the safety and privacy of our children, we do not share photographs. You'll then receive annual progress reports with updates on their education, health, and overall wellbeing.
+ Can I write a letter to my sponsored orphan?
Yes! We facilitate letter exchange between sponsors and children. You can send letters and cards through our office, and our field team will deliver them. It's a beautiful way to build a personal connection with the child you're supporting.
+ Can I meet with my sponsored orphan?
In some cases, field visits can be arranged through our local offices, subject to security and logistical considerations. Contact our donor care team at info@qurbani.com to inquire about visiting your sponsored child.
+ Can I send a gift to my orphan?
Yes! You can send small gifts during Eid and special occasions. Our field team ensures safe and appropriate delivery. Contact us for guidelines on what can be sent to each country.
